Vibrant & Lively City of Hong Kong
Thanks to those who dropped by, and dropping brickbatz while I was away to Hong Kong/Macau for a well-deserved break. The monotony of work has gotten the better of me. HK & Macau were HOT !!! Literally. The weather was scorching on most days, with slight rain on only 2 occasions. And we naively thought autumn breeze would welcomed us ...

MTR Stations

MACAU - Noodles for all occasions (Cheong Kei) and McCafe/McD's Pancakes

MACAU - Famous Pork Chop Bun, Crab Porridge (Seng Cheong) & Tau Fu Fah

MACAU - Margaret's Portuguese Egg Tarts, Lemon Cello Gelato, Yishun's Steamed Milk (with/without red beans) and Serradura & Durian Ice Cream (Gelatina Mok Yi Kei)

HONG KONG - Delicious Chinese dishes

HONG KONG - Authentic Dim Sum for the masses

HONG KONG - The epitome of street food, Stinky Tofu & friends ...

HONG KONG - Typical Breakfast Menu

HONG KONG - Sweet temptations to tease your tastebuds ...

For the time being, I can only post so much .... Savour the delightful gastronomic fare from HK/Macau for many more days to come. =P

Of course, I'll post on the attractions, the accomodation, the places of interests, the shopping fiesta, and most importantly, MY experience throughout the 9 days, 8 nights getaway. Stay tuned !!! ;)

Welcome back, that was a long 9days in HKG/Macau which normally people take about 5days. We didnt miss your blogs tho as they kept coming.

It's a bad time to be there when it's hot cos it so much nicer if it's cool.

Foodwise, that's a nice assortment of pics which is so nice; dont know which to point out but they all looked so good, I wanna go back there....

min : aiya, gonna be your THIRD time liao, no need reference anymore, rite? :)

lyrical lemongrass : haha, go on! fly away! though it's highly recommended to go at end of yr, when it's cooler.

christy : yup, I started work yday, but arranged the photos almost all day. hehe .. :)

ck lam : the red bean is served on top of steamed milk (siong pei nai), not taufufa. but very rich milky flavour. slurp ...

mycroft : yup, the choices are unlimited, I dare say. I would've pigged out 6 meals a day had it not been slightly pricier than Msia's.

joe : yeah ... sometimes a makan trip's all we need to counter the monotonous pace of working life ...

jencooks : thanks for dropping by often. =) agreed that it's cool if the weather's erm... cooler.

wmw : but still not enough la. there are countless stuff I missed. next trip I'll prepare a longer n concise list. hehe

Even when i went in October, it was still hot. Luckily you were not caught in the typhoon (you didn't, did you?).

Precious Pea said...

By the way, the crab porridge was from the same restaurant i went in Macau right?

Anonymous said...

wow.. the desserts look so.. so.. so.. TEMPTING!!! hehe.. satisfying~~~ y din ta pao some?? =P

J2Kfm said...

nic : yeahloh, given the chance, I'd go a second, or third time. or maybe more. :)

shell : now that HK's so accessible, consider going again soon?

kampungboycitygal : street food's aplenty, but sometimes we can't stomach much as almost every meal's a chore to finish.

precious pea : then go in Nov/Dec best? no typhoon, no worries. only slight rain on 2 mornings. and yes, that shop is Seng Cheong, the one on Ruo De Cunha.

kca : aiya, so far, how to tapau ah? haha ... how bout something from sabah eh?

Yea and I saw that you have skipped Disneyland in your itenary. Any reason why? And you did not visit Citygate mall.

Unknown said...

curvybabe : have a blast over there! almost same time as mine, your trip?
hope it doesnt rain much there.
Citygate is just next to the station in Lantau Island.
and we skipped Disneyland as there was not enough time, cannot fit in everything. so we had to choose between disneyland or ocean's park
